Full-Time Lieutenant
The Cutlerville Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Lieutenant

WAGES AND BENEFITS PACKAGE
- Wage Range: $77,000-$78,500 based on a 56 hour work week.

- Effectively manage and supervise the work of assigned fire personnel
- Monitor daily inspections of quarters and equipment to maintain fire department quality standards
- Enforces established departmental guidelines and regulations
- Respond to fire, emergency medical, and other emergencies as needed
- Provide incident command as first arriving officer until relieved by a chief officer
- Participate in fire department training
- Clean, maintain and operate fire department vehicles
- Daily completion of all required reports
- Participate in public education and Community Risk Reduction Programs
- Clean and maintain fire department buildings
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships
- Enforce state and local fire laws and ordinances
- 48 hours on/96 hours off
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Citizenship of the United States must be maintained as a condition of employment. Applicant must submit birth certificate, passport or naturalization papers.
- Minimum three years of experience as a certified firefighter
- Must possess at time of application and maintain a State of Michigan EMT certification or higher during the duration of employment.
- Must possess at time of application and maintain an AHA Basic Life Support Health Care Provider certification during the duration of employment.
- Must possess a State of Michigan Firefighter I & II certificate at time of application.
- Must possess a MFFTC Hazmat First Responder Operations or equivalent certificate at time of application
- Must possess a State of Michigan Firefighters Training Council approved Emergency Vehicle Operator training course certificate at time of application.
- Must Posess Michigan NFPA 1021 Fire Officer I and Officer II or Michigan Company Officer I & II. Certified or NFPA Fire Instructor I preferred.
- FEMA IS-100/200/700/800 and the ability to obtain ICS 300 & ICS 400
- Applicant must pass a physical and pre-employment drug screening.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical ability test or possess a CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test) certification and submit proof of certification at time of employment.
- Applicant must be the holder of a valid Michigan driver’s (or chauffeur’s) license (or an equivalent from another state) and have a good driving record in accordance with, but not limited to the standards set forth in the job description.
Full-Time Firefighter/engine operator
